Motorcycles and Travel

Now is a great time of the year to go to one of my favorite destinations on your motorcycle. It is getting very hot here so I always like to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are parts of the parkway that have never seen Temperatures above 82 degrees farenheit. Everytime I have ever been to Mt. Mitchell I have needed a jacket. The Parkway offers some beautiful scenery, it starts just north of Cherokee NC and ends somewhere in Virginia. It actually starts in The Great Smokey Mountains and goes through the Blue ridge Mountains. There are lots of places to stop and rest along the way as they have many scenic overlooks. There are also many places for picnics. There are lots of towns near the parkway that are worth checking out also, you have Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee, Maggie Valley NC, Cherokee NC, The Biltmore House near Asheville NC, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone NC and thats just to name a few. I would like to have about a week to tour this area myself, most of my trips have been day trips as I only live about 2 hours from Asheville NC. Oh and theres lots of curves for those of you who like them too. You may want to try Deals Gap in North Carolina. Read On........
