More Motorcycle safety

Another Great day for riding a motorcycle here in South Carolina. The weather has been very nice here. Knowledge of what can happen on the road between a car and Motorcycle goes a long way toward your safety. Always be aware of your surroundings while riding your motorcycle and always Dress for riding. I have seen people out riding with shorts and flip flops on, what would happen to their legs if they hit the pavement? I always wear like a hiking style boot when I ride. It protects my ankles.. I always wear long pants and never shorts, it helps protect my legs. I do however break some safety rules of riding like a short sleve shirt and no gloves on warm days. However I learned my lesson of riding in the rain without gloves. Try this for about 40 miles in pouring rain and you'll see why you should wear gloves while riding in the rain. A lot of guys I know will not ride in the rain but my instructor says it make you a better rider.. The day I took my test for my license, it was pouring rain, and I took the test on a Goldwing. When you take your test, do it on a bike that you are used to, not someone elses bike that may be smaller because chances are you wont do as well on it. read on...
